Ridgeview, Redmond relays teams perform well

Several Ridgeview and Redmond swimmers turned in strong performances at the three-team Jan. 26 meet in Redmond.
Ridgeview’s boys team won the meet with 110 points, with Redmond second at 75 points and Gladstone third at 74. Gladstone won the girls meet with 113 points, with Ridgeview second at 78.5 points and Redmond third at 66.5 points.
Redmond teams won several relays at the meet, with Redmond High’s 200 medley relay team of Loryn Trail, Andrea Broyles, Joannah Bendele and Brittany Smith finishing first. The same girls also won the 200 freestyle relay.
Ridgeview won the 200 boys medley relay with Tate Lighthall, Owen Hucke, Reed Pozzi and Ben Hucke. That same foursome also won the 200 freestyle relay.
Redmond’s 400 boys freestyle relay team of Augie Tobish, Alex Smith, Joel Markham and Shayne Bidwell also was victorious.
Ridgeview’s P.J. Lighthall, Tristy Osbon and Alix Boive also won races at the meet.
Ridgeview and Redmond again will face each other Thursday at the “R” Town Rivalry.
