Youth Soccer: Registration has started for the Redmond Area Park and Recreation District’s six-week recreational soccer league for pre-kindergarten through fourth grade . The registration deadline for the April 2 through May 7 season is Feb. 19. Games are played on Saturdays at the High Desert Sports Complex, with one to two practices a week. The parks district provides player shirts, but players must bring their own shin guards and socks. Volunteer coaches also are needed and can sign up when children register. Texture class: For ages 2 to 4. Provides a “sensory experience” for toddlers, with smooth, rough, bumpy and furry activities.

Adult coed gymnastics: For ages 18 and older. The class is led by a certified instructor. Adults can learn to walk on their hands, basic to advanced tumbling and gymnastics conditioning circuits. The class will be offered from 6:30-7:30 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays from Feb. 2-25 at the Redmond Gymnastics Academy. Cost is $49 for Tuesday only and $89 for both days. Beginning ukulele: For ages 16 and older. Learn basic chords, progressions and strumming patterns. Students will play popular songs in the first class. Some ukuleles will be available to borrow the first evening for students who don’t have one. Classes are from 6-7 p.m. Thursdays from Feb. 4-25 at the RAPRD Activity Center. Cost is $40. Horse crazy: For ages 10 to 16. Students will learn about horses, their language and their family relationships. The class will feature non mounted activities with horses and nature.
