What to watch for
XXXXXXXXXXXXXXX, XXXXX DATE — The Panthers have their eyes on their second semifinal appearance in school history, and only the Raiders from Corvallis stand in the way in a Class 5A state playoff quarterfinal contest.
Crescent Valley (8-3), which finished third in the Mid-Willamette Conference and holds a No. 9 ranking in 5A, has outscored opponents by more than 11 points per game. The Raiders come in off a first-round 14-7 road win against Portland’s Wilson Nov. 9.
Crescent Valley has only competed in four road games this season, however, and Redmond hopes to take advantage of its home field.
The Panthers have posted their only two shutouts at home, with Redmond holding opponents to just 12.6 points per contest and the margin of victory hovering around 31 points per game.
