The Panthers racked up 342.5 points to beat out eight other teams and win the Brunner Invitational in Dallas, Oregon, outpacing second-place Dallas by 40 points.

Redmond wrestlers won five weight classifications and took both first and second place in the 145- and 220-pound classes.

Matthew McCain won two matches by decision and fall before beating teammate Dayton Woodward by decision in the 145-pound championship. Mario Nonato won by fall in three straight matches before beating Bunker Parrish by decision to win the 220-pound bracket. Jacob Curry took first place in the 113 division by beating three Dallas wrestlers, all by decision. Mitch Willett won by fall three times to claim first in the 170 classification, and Jacob Brauchler won the 285 class by beating a Canby wrestler by decision.

Ridgeview competed at the Bend Invitational on the same day, finishing fourth out of the 10 teams in attendance with 118 points. Abraham Nonato won the 126 class with three straight wins by fall, while Carson Keith defeated Noah Rossi of Bend in the 106 semifinal but took second after falling to Carsen Johnson of Mountain View in the final. Steven Bryant placed third in 120 when he defeated Summit’s Daniel Raley by decision.
