Polar Bear Run: On Saturday, St. Thomas Academy will host the sixth Polar Bear Fun Run, a family-friendly 5K or 10K run or walk through Redmond’s Dry Canyon. All ages and levels are welcome; registration begins at 8:30 a.m. Strollers are welcome. An addition this year is “First Responder 5K Challenge,” open to any law enforcement officers, fire, first responders, wildland firefighters or military personnel in Central Oregon. The Polar Bear Expo will be held inside the academy after the run, where you can meet with local health, fitness and family-friendly businesses. St. Thomas Academy is a 501(c)(3)nonprofit school. Register online at www.redmondacademy.com/polar-bear-fun-run-expo, or drop off your completed registration at St. Thomas Academy or FootZone of Bend until Thursday. Online registration ends today at 6 p.m. Race-day registration begins at 8:30 a.m.
