Garrett Albrecht, Ridgeview boys basketball — Albrecht scored 61 points over three games at the Centennial Tournament in Caldwell, Idaho, Dec. 31 through Jan. 2, including a game-leading 23 points in a 57-49 loss to Pocatello (Idaho).

Female athlete of the week

McKaylie Capps, Redmond girls basketball — Capps scored 22 points in a 34-31 double-overtime loss to Pleasanton (Texas) at the KSA Holiday Events Tournament in Orlando on Dec. 30.

Game of the week

Boys basketball, Ridgeview at Pocatello at the Centennial Tournament, Thursday — Pocatello beat Ridgeview 57-49 in overtime and handed the Ravens their first loss of the season.

What to watch for

Wrestling — Ridgeview is scheduled to attend the Bend Invite along with Bend, Mountain View, Summit and Madras. The meet will begin at 8 a.m. Saturday at Bend High.
